As a small business owner, I really love & appreciate being part of the local business community and finding ways to support each other. My motivation to create skincare products came about during a time in my life when I was working as a model, which unfortunately exposed me to the various negative effects of toxic cosmetic ingredients (blemishes, clogged pores & irritated skin). Shortly after I left modeling, I enrolled at The Institute of Skin Science and soon became a Licensed Aesthetician. I took a number of skincare education programs, including Medical Skin Treatments in dermaplaning, from La Roche-Posey. I soon began developing my own products in 2003. From the very start, I've insisted on using all-natural, organic, and non-toxic ingredients. I formulate, blend, and package my products in my home-based shop and have sold mainly to small businesses (and a couple of larger local retailers in the past). My products are created in small batches to prioritize quality and utilize recyclable packaging to promote sustainability. My goal is to provide customers with healthy, all natural and organic skincare treatments that nourish their skin!
I have experienced many different cosmetic lines over the years from when I started modeling at the age of 16.
I remember the feeling I had after photo shoots, when my skin would feel irritated, sometimes itchy and break out.
I later researched some skincare and cosmetic lines and found a large amount of these companies filled their products with perfumes (which have many toxic ingredients hidden under the name fragrance), chemicals, dyes, GMO's, fillers, binders, parabens and petrochemicals.
The National Academy of Sciences suggests that these toxic ingredients are capable of causing cancer, birth defects, central nervous system disorders and allergic reactions to the skin. All of these ingredients are readily absorbed through the skin (the largest organ in the body) directly into the blood stream.
Realizing this disturbing news, I decided to research many all natural/organic skincare and makeup lines. After years of testing numerous product lines, I still wasn't completely satisfied with their quality and effectiveness.
"I'll create a line of my own", I thought to myself, filled with clean, pure, organic ingredients. This way, I'll have peace of mind knowing exactly what's going into each product and its- a quality".
I soon enrolled at The Institute of Skin Science for further my education on skin health. I learned a great deal about the importance of organic ingredients in your skincare and the food you eat and how it plays such a huge roll in the appearance of ones skin and overall health- a Holistic approach!
Shortly thereafter, I went on to receive additional training for Advanced Concepts in Medical Skincare Treatments from La Roche-Posay.
Before long,(in 2003) Ashley Archer Skincare was established from my love of good, clean, healthy, all natural and organic ingredients!
I am so pleased with the line I have created and I’m thrilled to share it with you. to heal and nourish our bodies from the outside in.
After all, the health and wellbeing of my family is what's most important to me as a Mother. Our children are growing up in a world filled with toxins that are polluting their bodies, from what we put "in", to what we put "on" our bodies. Not just theirs, but ours too! I want to do everything I can to protect them from all the garbage out there!
You can rest assured that every products goes through the EWG (Environmental Working Group) strict verification standards to ensure I am putting the cleanest and best product out on the market. I use only the finest, purest ingredients that are wild crafted, organic and non-gmo. I personally make all of my skincare in small batches to ensure quality and freshness.
My Skincare packaging is made with recyclable glass bottles and jars and my labels are printed with vegetable based inks with low VOC emissions. I want to leave as little trace behind as possible.
I would love nothing more, than to help you feel better about yourself "inside and out" and give you peace of mind knowing that my products will be the answer to all your skincare needs in a natural and healthy way.
